What is Markets?

A place to take a side on real-world events, like a match or the price of Bitcoin, in KES. You buy the answer you think is right and are paid if it happens.

What does the percentage mean?

It is the chance that people trading the market give an answer. 70% means they think it is likely. It is also the price: a lower chance pays more if it happens.

How much can I win?

The button shows it before you confirm, under "To win". It is what you get back if your answer happens, with every fee taken out.

What if I am wrong?

You lose the amount you invested. You never lose more than that.

Can I sell before the market ends?

Yes. Open the market and sell your shares at the price on offer. You may get back more or less than you paid.

How do I pay in and get paid?

With M-Pesa, in KES, to the phone number on your account.

Are there fees?

Yes, and they are shown before you confirm. The amount on the button already has them taken out.

Who decides the result?

Each market has rules for its answer. After it ends, our oracle confirms the result and winnings go to your balance.

When do I get my winnings?

As soon as the result is confirmed. For short crypto markets that is usually minutes after the end. For others it can take longer.

Where do the prices come from?

From a large prediction exchange, live, turned into KES at the rate shown in the app.

Who can join?

Anyone aged 18 or over. Joining is by invite for now.
