You Can’t Love BBI and Hate Raila Odinga, Peter Kaluma Tells Mount Kenya Leaders
The vocal Homa Bay Town MP Peter Opondo Kaluma has linked the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) to ODM Party leader Raila Odinga and told Mount Kenya residents that they cannot claim to love the proposed legislation and hate the ODM chief.
Through a Tweet posted on his Twitter handle on Saturday, Hon Kaluma, using a coded language, said the Central Kenya residents could not claim to love a baby but hate the parent.
Mt. Kenya people want us to believe they love BBI but not Baba Raila Odinga?
How can you love the baby but hate the parent?
The Mountain must meet the Lake this time!

The building bridges initiative document was birthed after the March 2018 handshake when President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga came to a political truce after the bitterly contested general election in 2017.
The lawmaker avers that this time around, Mount Kenya residents (Kikuyus) must support and work with those from the lake (Luos) in the upcoming referendum and general election.
When the BBI Bill werepresented before the county assemblies, the Mt Kenya region MCAs massively endorsed the Constitutional (Amendment) Bill 2020. However, a section of leaders from the President Uhuru’s backyard vowed they could neither love nor support the ODM leader.
